Today, AGTER employs a small team of three persons, and several asociate experts :
Director
Michel Merlet, graduated from the “Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon” (National Institute of Agronomy Paris Grignon).
Specialist of land issues. M. Merlet worked on the Nicaraguan agrarian reform in the 70’s and in the 80’s.
He has been working since 1988 as an expert in the field of land policies and management of natural resources in many countries of Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
In charge of Projects :
Mathieu Perdriault.
Master in International Agricultural Economy (Paris XI Orsay).
Specialist in Cellular Biology and Physiology, Sustainable agricultural Development.
From 2014 to 2016, Executive Secretary of the International Committee of the World Forum on Access to Land (2016)

Associate Experts
Christian Castellanet
Agronomist and ecologist (PhD Institute of Ecology – UGA- USA) specialized in Natural Resource Management and governance. He has been involved with Gret (an INGO based in France) in international cooperation in the field of action research for rural development and natural resource management in West Africa, Carribean, Brazil and more recently South East Asia, where he has been involved in the Mekong Region Land Governance Project, based in Vientiane (Lao PDR) from 2014 to 2018.
Since July 2018, he is working at part time with Gret, and part time with AGTER.
