A. Management
The General Meeting constitutes the higher level of management of the association AGTER. All members as well as the members of honour are part of the AGTER’ s General Meeting. The General Meeting is held at least once a year. The association is managed by a Board composed of four to six members who are elected by the members of the General Meeting for a two years mandate. The Board is the collegiate executive instrument of the association. It delegates a part of its functions to the employed Director.

Vicent Garcès,
Agronomist, Spanish.
V. Garces is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He worked in the Chilean Ministry of Agriculture during Salvador Allende’s government. He coordinated the International Committee of the World Forum on Food Sovereignty (Havana, Cuba, 2001). He was the main facilitator and the coordinator of the World Forum on Agrarian Reform (Valencia, December 2004), and facilitator of the World Social Forum’s workshop on food sovereignty and access to natural resources.
Vice president:
Françoise Macé
Program manager in the Foundation "Charles Léopold Mayer pour le Progrès de l’Homme" (FPH)
She has been working on: family farming and globalization, China and Europa, Mediterranean countries.
Treasurer:
Sylvie Dideron,
Agronomist. Sylvie Dideron is an independant consultant and she is specialized in rural development issues in China. She works especially on the link between the territory management/use and the fight against poverty.

Denis Pommier
Agro-economist. In depth experience in Central America as an international consultant.
Key qualifications: Microfinance Institutions, Land Studies and Participatory Mapping.
Hubert Cochet.
Agro-economist, professor of Compared Agriculture at the “Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon” (National Institute of Agronomy Paris Grignon). H. Cochet is a specialist of agrarian systems dynamics, and of the impact of development policies and projects on these dynamics.

B. Employees
Today, AGTER employs a small team of five persons:
Director
Michel Merlet, graduated from the “Institut National Agronomique Paris-Grignon” (National Institute of Agronomy Paris Grignon).
Specialist of land issues. M. Merlet worked on the Nicaraguan agrarian reform in the 70’s and in the 80’s, and has been working since 1988 as an expert in the field of land policies and management of natural resources in many countries of Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia.

Clara Jamart
Graduated from the Institute of Political Studies in Paris.
Specialist of International Relations and Development, Societies and Policies in Latin America.
In charge of Projects:
Mathieu Perdriault.
Master in International Agronomics (Paris XI Orsay).
Specialist in Cellular Biology and Physiology, Sustainable agricultural Development.

Marta Fraticelli.
Italian.

C. Our resources
The financial resources of the association are composed of:
- contributions from its members
- donations from Private Foundations or Public Authorities
- remuneration for provision of services to NGOs, International Organizations…
